Meet our committees and learn about our impact on the community

STEM Academy Committee

Our STEM Academy Committee, led by Sophie Sherlock and Katie Opauski, make monthly trips to RISE STEM Academy for Girls to host health and wellness classes. Some of their recent trips included hosting a workshop on dental hygiene and hand anatomy!

Carter G. Committee

Our Carter G. Committee, led by Juanita Boakye and Mariah Chapman, conduct weekly tutoring services to high school students in AP Biology and AP Chemistry

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Our Children's Miracle Network Hospital committee, led by Bailey Vornholt, help raise money for the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital and come up with activities for the kids who are patients. They recently completed a Canes Restaurant Fundraiser. 

Salvation Army Clinic

Our Salvation Army Clinic Committee meet up with medical students from UKCOM twice a month to host arts, crafts, and various games for the children there

Ronald McDonald House

Our Ronald McDonald House Committee, led by Morgan Fleming, make monthly trips to The Ronald McDonald House to cook and serve homemade meals for the families staying there

Operation Make a Chance (OMAC)

Our OMAC Committee, led by Zander Houchens, helps build connections with at risk and underprivileged kids. There, volunteers help set these kids up for success through on site tutoring, and career exposure and exploration!

Outreach Committee

Our Outreach Committee, led by Sadie Carpenter and Kinsey Yates, help fundraise for MediKids and connect us with other organizations and opportunities 

Maxwell Committee

Our Maxwell committee, led by Camille Roberts, Reagan Hurter, and Chloe Heady, conduct monthly trips to Maxwell Elementary School to host health and wellness events for the students. Some of their recent trips include a yoga class, human heart anatomy activity, and a preventative healthcare lessons!

Carnegie Center Tutoring

Our Carnegie Center Tutoring Committee, led by Gargi Shah and Aaron Joseph, help tutor students K-12 at the center. The center is a Non-Profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy and learning
